株式会社LIFESCAPESは、東京都とStartup Island Taiwanが共催する「Taiwan–Tokyo Bridge: Innovating Together –Healthcare Edition–」に参加し、2025年7月22日・23日に台湾・台北にて現地の医療・バイオ系スタートアップ支援機関との交流およびピッチ登壇を行いました。
本プログラムでは、Taipei Medical University（台北医科大学）およびTaipei BioInnovation Parkを訪問し、台湾の先進的な医療・研究・事業支援の現場を視察。また、台北市内のTaiwan Tech Arenaにて開催されたピッチイベントでは、当社が開発・展開するBMI（Brain-Machine Interface）技術を用いたニューロリハビリテーション機器について発表しました。
今後もLIFESCAPESは、BMI技術の社会実装を通じて、重度麻痺患者の機能回復と日常生活の再構築に貢献するとともに、国内外での展開を加速してまいります。

LIFESCAPES Inc. is pleased to announce its participation in the Taiwan–Tokyo Bridge: Innovating Together –Healthcare Edition– program, co-hosted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Startup Island Taiwan. The program was held in Taipei on July 22–23, 2025, and focused on fostering collaboration between Japanese and Taiwanese healthcare and biotech startups.
As part of the program, LIFESCAPES visited leading institutions such as Taipei Medical University and Taipei BioInnovation Park to explore Taiwan’s cutting-edge research, clinical, and startup ecosystem. On the second day, Ryotaro Hirose took the stage at Taiwan Tech Arena to present LIFESCAPES’ BCI-based neurorehabilitation device and share the company’s vision for global deployment.
Through the implementation of brain-computer interface technology, LIFESCAPES remains committed to supporting functional recovery and improving the quality of life for patients with severe paralysis — both in Japan and internationally.

LIFESCAPESは先週、大阪にて開催された Medtech Actuator × JETRO HealthTech GatewayプログラムのDemo Day に参加し、当社のBrain-Computer Interface（BCI）技術を用いた脳卒中リハビリ向け医療機器について発表を行いました。
また、その後に開催された Japan Health にもブースを出展し、国内外の医療従事者や産業界のリーダー、そして多くのパートナー候補の皆さまと交流する機会を得ました。
ブースへお立ち寄りいただいた皆さま、また議論にご参加いただいた皆さまに心より感謝申し上げます。今回の出会いを次の一歩につなげ、より多くの患者さまに当社のソリューションをお届けできるよう、引き続き尽力してまいります。

LIFESCAPES Showcased at Demo Day & Japan Health in Osaka
Our team had an amazing time in Osaka, where we had multiple opportunities to share our work with a wide range of stakeholders in the medtech community.
We kicked off the week with a pitch at the Demo Day of the Medtech Actuator x JETRO HealthTech Gateway program, showcasing our Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) technology for stroke rehabilitation.
Later in the week, we also exhibited at Japan Health. We had the opportunity to connect with clinicians, industry leaders, and potential partners from Japan and abroad.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by and engaged with us. We’re excited to continue building momentum as we work to bring our solution to more patients worldwide.

株式会社LIFESCAPESは、2025年4月23日に東京で開催されたAVPN Northeast Asia Summit 2025において、「Healthy Ageing: Strategies for a Resilient Future（健康的な高齢化：しなやかな未来に向けた戦略）」と題したセッションに登壇いたしました。

本セッションでは、公益財団法人PwC財団と、同財団の「助成事業2024年度春期人間拡張（介護支援）」の助成事業として採択された当社を含む3団体が登壇し、Brain-Machine Interface（BMI）技術を活用した各団体の取り組みを通じて、高齢化社会における身体・認知・コミュニケーションの課題解決に向けた取り組みを紹介しました。

当社は、BMIシステムを活用した事業を紹介し、持続可能な高齢社会の構築に向けた戦略について以下の観点から意見を述べました：

  • 健康寿命と平均寿命のギャップを引き起こす脳卒中後の手指麻痺に対するアプローチ手段としてのBMIの臨床的・社会的意義
  • BMIによる患者の自立や就労復帰を通じた生産性向上と、医療・介護コスト削減への貢献の可能性
  • 持続的なBMI医療の普及を見据えた製品設計・戦略の必要性

当社は、脳科学とAIを融合したBrain-Machine Interface（BMI）技術を活用し、脳卒中後の重度麻痺のリハビリの可能性を拡げ、患者の希望の実現をサポートします。今後も、誰もが諦めていた生活をもう一度取り戻せる社会の実現に向けて、技術開発と社会実装に取り組んでまいります。

LIFESCAPES participated in the AVPN Northeast Asia Summit 2025 held in Tokyo on April 23. The company joined the session titled “Healthy Ageing: Strategies for a Resilient Future” as one of three grantees supported by the Foundation’s “Human Augmentation” program.

In this session, together with the PwC Foundation, the three organizations—including LIFESCAPES—shared their initiatives leveraging Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) technologies to address key challenges of an aging society, including physical, cognitive, and communication impairments.

LIFESCAPES presented its efforts to build a sustainable future for an aging population, focusing on the following perspectives:

  • The clinical and social value of BCI in addressing hand paralysis caused by stroke—one of the leading factors behind the gap between life expectancy and healthy life expectancy
  • The potential of BCI to reduce healthcare and long-term care costs while improving patient independence and return-to-work outcomes
  • The importance of product development and strategic planning for sustainable deployment of BCI-based therapies

By integrating neuroscience and AI, LIFESCAPES is expanding the possibilities of rehabilitation for patients with severe paralysis after stroke. The company remains committed to creating a society where people can reclaim the lives they once gave up on, through innovation and real-world application of advanced technologies.

このたび、株式会社LIFESCAPESは、Forbes JAPAN に取材いただいたことをご報告いたします。
当社は、「未来を拓くイノベーションTOKYOプロジェクト」（東京都主催）の支援のもと、脳卒中後の重度麻痺患者向けにBrain-Machine Interface（BMI）技術の開発を推進してまいりました。
2024年6月のリハビリテーション向け製品「LIFESCAPES 医療用BMI（手指タイプ）」の販売開始以降、全国の回復期リハビリテーション病院を中心に導入が進み、すでに400症例以上での臨床使用実績を有しています。
さらに現在、在宅での使用を視野に入れた簡易型BMIデバイス（通称：ヘッドフォンBMI）の開発も進行中です。医療機関を離れた後の長期的な運動機能の維持・回復支援を可能にすることで、脳卒中患者のQOL向上に寄与することを目指しています。
