体制変更の背景

LIFESCAPESは、事業成長の加速および経営体制強化を目的として、取締役CSOの林正彬を副社長に昇格させることを決定しました。本件により、代表取締役の牛場と、副社長の林が、それぞれの専門性を生かして権限と責任を分掌する経営体制へ移行します。牛場は研究・学術および医療界との連携を中心に担い、林は経営戦略および事業開発を主導します。LIFESCAPESは、国内拡販、薬事・保険対応、海外展開といった重点領域の推進を通じて、持続的な成長と次世代の経営体制構築を進めてまいります。

【略歴】
慶應義塾大学大学院 理工学研究科 後期博士課程修了、博士（理学）
慶應義塾大学大学院 前期博士課程修了後、(株)ディー・エヌ・エーに新卒入社。ヘルスケア領域での新規事業開発やサービス企画、法人営業、アライアンス業務を推進。在職中、慶應義塾大学大学院にて博士（理学）を取得。2021年7月、研究分野の社会実装を実現させるベく当社に参画。

WE AT CHALLENGE 2025 は、一般社団法人WE ATが主催し、アジア最大級のWell-beingの祭典を目指して開催されるピッチコンテストです。本年度は、日本を含む世界32カ国から約600件の応募があり、選考を通過した16組のファイナリストによる最終ピッチが行われました。

当社は、Brain-Machine Interface（BMI）技術を活用した神経リハビリテーション医療機器の開発を通じて、脳卒中後などの運動障害に対する新たな治療の可能性を提示した点が評価され、Human Well-being トラックにおいて「WE AT AWARD」を受賞しました。

LIFESCAPES Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Junichi Ushiba) is pleased to announce that Masaaki Hayashi, Director and Chief Strategy Officer, received the “WE AT AWARD (Human Well-being Track)” at the pitch contest WE AT CHALLENGE 2025, held on November 27, 2025.

WE AT CHALLENGE 2025 is a pitch competition organized by the WE AT Association, aiming to become one of Asia’s largest festivals dedicated to Well-being. This year’s edition attracted approximately 600 applications from 32 countries worldwide, including Japan, with 16 finalist teams selected to present at the final pitch event.

LIFESCAPES was recognized for its work in developing neurorehabilitation medical devices utilizing Brain-Machine Interface (BMI) technology, presenting new therapeutic possibilities for motor impairments such as those following stroke. This contribution was highly evaluated, leading to the receipt of the WE AT AWARD in the Human Well-being Track.

The event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including academia, startups, investors, corporations, and government representatives, fostering discussions on the advancement of the well-being industry and solutions to global social challenges. Encouraged by this recognition, LIFESCAPES will continue striving to create social value through the integration of medicine and technology.

LIFESCAPES Selected as Top 10 Finalist for CHISEL Healthcare InnoMatch 2025

LIFESCAPES Inc. is honored to be selected as one of the Top 10 finalists for CHISEL Healthcare InnoMatch 2025, organized by the Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI), presented by Temasek Foundation, and supported by the Ministry of Health Singapore. Since its inception in 2021, CHISEL has drawn nearly 1,500 participants from 88 countries, serving as a global platform to connect pioneering solutions with healthcare needs.

Among the finalists, a select group of companies will be given the opportunity to test-bed their solutions within Singapore’s public healthcare system, receiving support to validate their technologies in clinical settings and explore collaborations with leading institutions.

本プログラムは、米国・ミネソタ州に拠点を持つ世界的医療機関Mayo Clinicのプラットフォーム組織であるMayo Clinic Platform、米国のベンチャーキャピタルKicker Ventures、Mayo Clinic Berg Innovation Exchangeと連携し、日本のスタートアップが米国ヘルスケア市場参入に必要な知識習得、戦略策定、コネクション形成を行うことを目的としています。

Selected for Mayo Clinic Platform_Accelerate: A First Step Toward Entry into the U.S. Market

LIFESCAPES Inc. is pleased to announce that it has been selected for Phase 1 of the “J-StarX AI Medical Course,” an acceleration program implemented by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) with the support of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).

This program is conducted in collaboration with Mayo Clinic Platform, the innovation arm of the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, USA, as well as U.S.-based venture capital firm Kicker Ventures and the Mayo Clinic Berg Innovation Exchange. The program supports Japanese startups in acquiring the knowledge, formulating the strategies, and building the connections necessary for successful entry into the U.S. healthcare market.

Through this initiative, LIFESCAPES will gain insights into the Mayo Clinic ecosystem and the U.S. regulatory environment, while establishing networks with key stakeholders as the company prepares for business expansion in the United States.
