株式会社LIFESCAPESは、独立行政法人日本貿易振興機構（ジェトロ）が経済産業省の協力のもと実施する「J-StarX Medical Data Utilization Program」に参加するスタートアップとして採択されたことをお知らせいたします。

J-StarX Medical Data Utilization Program について
医療機器やデジタルヘルス製品を米国で事業化するためには、FDA承認に向けた規制対応に加え、保険償還や医療機関での導入を見据え、製品の安全性・有効性、臨床的有用性、費用対効果等を示すエビデンスの構築が重要です。日本国内の臨床データだけでは、米国の患者集団や医療環境における有用性を十分に示せない場合もあるため、開発の早期段階から、現地の医療機関や専門家と連携して必要なデータを取得・検証することが求められます。
「J-StarX Medical Data Utilization Program」は、ジェトロが経済産業省の協力のもと、日本発の医療スタートアップによる米国市場参入に必要な臨床エビデンスの構築と、医療機関、KOL、規制・保険償還の専門家、投資家等とのネットワーク形成を後押しするものです。

LIFESCAPES Inc. is pleased to announce that it has been selected to participate in the “J-StarX Medical Data Utilization Program,” organized by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).

About the J-StarX Medical Data Utilization Program
To commercialize medical devices and digital health products in the United States, building robust clinical evidence that demonstrates product safety, efficacy, clinical utility, and cost-effectiveness is critical—not only for FDA regulatory clearance, but also for insurance reimbursement and adoption by healthcare institutions. Because domestic clinical data from Japan alone may not fully demonstrate utility within the U.S. patient population and healthcare environment, acquiring and validating necessary data in collaboration with local medical institutions and experts from an early stage of development is essential.
Supported by METI, JETRO’s “J-StarX Medical Data Utilization Program” assists Japanese medical startups in building the clinical evidence required to enter the U.S. market, while fostering network creation with medical institutions, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), regulatory and reimbursement experts, and investors.
